The new SHIMANO ALIVIO components will be upgraded with a 9-speed drivetrain, bringing an even wider usage within reach. ALIVIO offers robust and stylish components that will withstand tough riding conditions. These medium range components have been developed according to the needs of the riders, focusing on reliability, durability and very smooth shifting characteristics. Get out there and enjoy the ride, that’s what these components have been developed for!
The components will be available in a silver and a black color version in a completely revamped design and a wide range of specifications. The cranksets will feature HYPERDRIVE technology and they are available with square taper or OCTALINK fixation. 44T and 48T outer chainring options will be available as well as versions with and without chain guard option.
The RAPIDFIRE PLUS shifters feature Two-Way Release technology and have been redesigned with more ergonomic levers. The shift cables run parallel to the brake cables for a cleaner cockpit. The optical gear display floats above the handlebar to enable mounting a suspension lever under the display.
The new ALIVIO rear derailleur has a low profile design (5mm lower than RD-M410) to prevent damaging the derailleur in demanding terrain. The derailleur features a wide link design for increased rigidity and durability. The front derailleur has also been developed with a wide link and provides an increased mud guard/tire clearance (-3mm).
These medium range components offer an excellent performance in combination with an aggressive, sharp edged design. With this upgrade, SHIMANO ALIVIO will have an even brighter future in the recreational cycling world.
